Yeah. The comic is set at an all-girls school for monster hunters, and RD turns out to have been a boy from the rival all-boys school who fell in love with the Fluttershy expy at first sight and was using a magic disguise to attend the school and get close to her.
 
Riiiiiight up until the Fluttershy expy got possessed, turned evil, and became the right hand girl/lover of the current villain.
 
Yeah, I’m not super thrilled with the expies having become part of the main cast instead of remaining background characters. Stand on your own merits, comic!

I gotta say, I actually kinda like seeing the various names that are given to humanized Mane Six expies. It’s cool to see what different creators decide to go with in this regard.

It’s not really a comparison if they’re deliberate expies.
