Spike’s been living with her how long and still doesn’t know not to sneak up right behind her and startle her like that? You’d think he’d know she does that by now.

Yeah… and then she blames him for breaking her lantern when his tiny, semi-conscious body went crashing to the floor. This really isn’t a happy scene at all.
 
In that regard, I applaud BlackGryphon for his accurate portrayal of Twilight and Spike’s relationship.

This is why the ponies aren’t actually horses. We’ve never seen them do anything like this when they were startled. Also, Twilight’s first reaction was to kick Spike in the face… fuck you, Twilight.
