It still thinks it’s going to play with its dead mummah in sketties wand. That’s psychological abuse at least.
Neither hypothesis is truly a bad thing by ITSELF, though… Even the first one.
Let’s say it’s attached to a balloon: Unless it’s a hunting game, it’s gonna float for a while, then… descend. Not to mention that its wings, while making it incapable of flying, allow it to essentially descend with far less force, so it’ll survive whatever landing it goes, with the string keeping it right-side up.
I’m more convinced that the string will just tighten and cut it in half or something.
That’s also a valid hypothesis…
True, but it looks like it’s floating above it’s empty food dish and blocks, so its just getting to “fly” around it’s safe room.

Well crud.
Initially, I thought the same thing, however, after rereading the dialog you find there is a sinister element:
“wat fwing baww fow?”
as in:
“What flying ball for?”
What’s round like a ball and flies?
A balloon.
Could also be a string attached to the ceiling. Or a stick. The abuse potential of a fluffy in that situation is big, but from this context, it doesn’t seem so bad… Yet…
