Spike looks weird I tell you.

While it would kind of make more sense than having Spike be a dog, I think Spike should be human anyway.  
Since him not being human still paints a pretty bad picture but also it really restricts his character.

I’m a fan of equestria girls but spike should have been a bearded dragon and the diamond dogs should have been bull dogs.

Haha! Diamond dudes are the coolest and most handsome characters in EQG!

No, it just adds in salt that he isn’t allowed to be equals with the girls but stuck as a pet in there(whats worse is how he’s the only character at all to not be human in EQG).  
Just because its apparently a reference to Wizard Of Oz doesn’t make this ok though. Big time
 
A big problem is also he can’t interact with anyone aside from the girls or else people will freak out about a talking dog.  
Most of the time he has to be stuck in Twilight’s backpack too and being a dog limits what he can do.  
Heck, it bit him in the ass with how he got snatched by Snips and Snails, which is absolutely embarrassing.

Actually, it was pretty worse due to he’s essentially a prop most of the time now.  
And it bit Spike in the ass in the long run in EQG.
 
At least in Equestria, Spike wasn’t literally labeled as a pet.

To follow Spike’s rule for the Diamond Dogs, the writers would have to come up with a lot of backstory to explain how dragons exist in the EG world.

Well, from the looks of it, they turned into orcs.

They really should have turned into like, monitor lizards or something.

If Garble or another teenage dragon somehow shows up as a human instead of a dog, then we can call bullshit on the magic mirror logic.

This drama is just getting embarrassing at this point.
 
I liked spike as a dog, he was funny, it offered a lot of comedic moments and good moments in general to the film, and I think it was a good part of the film.
 
I also liked equestria girls, and thought it had the same quality of a season 1 episode of my little pony. So take thst how you will.
