It’s the “i lik thing u don liek lolololol u so mad bro” attitude like this that makes people hate us in the first place. It’s extremely childish and conceited to think that most people outside of the fandom give enough of a shit one way or the other to a point where they could smell the pony on you or something and immediately judge you even if you didn’t have a shirt that preemptively told them to shove it for not sharing your opinions.
Try “just like humans”.
I haven’t the least trouble finding people I would rather not associate with in real life, yet the moment a fandom fails to be better than a random population sample, it’s embarrassing. Makes a lot of sense, that.
