But,
the # of pictures on derpibooru which:
(1) have Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Twilight Sparkle making an appearance
(2) do not yet have the ‘alicorn tetrarchy’ tag

I’ve always used tags like “mane 6” and “cmc” that autoinclude all the characters for tagging even if there are other characters past that. They’re shortcuts. I see no reason why this can’t be done for the princesses tag.
That seems fair.
Does that also include images with tons of characters?
You know, the 30+ character pics, where rarely is there any visual focus on one, let alone four?
I don’t see why the “Alicorn Tetrarchy” tag shouldn’t be restricted to just the four princesses by themselves. I think the tag should be included if all four princesses are in the same pic both with and without additional characters.
The pics I’ve seen with the “Mane Six” tag had additional characters with the Mane Six altogether.
While it is dm29 here, who does do shipping art, just looking at each other is NOT SHIPPING.
The artist himself is implying it.
All pics tagged ‘alicorn tetrarchy’ feature just the four princesses, and no-pony else.
If that seems a bit too extreme, then the alternative would probably be applying that tag to every single pic the four princesses make a major appearance in?
Seems too daunting to me, and/or too much effort!
Which way is it done with the ‘mane six’ tag?
