Oh well, then good to hear there was a justified reason that doesn’t paint her in the wrong/the bad guy. It could have been so easy to do so and I thank the creator for taking the high road.

Scootaloo when she grew her horn at age 15 when she got her cutiemark only found out part of the story.  
Scootaloo’s interpretation was that she was given for adoption after birth and her mother used a spell to forget about Scootaloo.  
Scootaloo had a difficult childhood bouncing from one foster home to another until she ended up in Ponyville.  
So in a sense she holds a grudge againt her mom not being there for her when she needed the most and being rejected.
 
What really happened is that Her fell in love with a extremely rare mage stallion pegasus (named Tempest)  
A stallion pegasus who can do magic without a horn.  
who had power over weather and lightning.  
Eventhough she swore of procreation she became pregnant with this guy and was willing to keep the foal.  
She kept the pregnancy a secret creating an illusion spell to hide her pregnancy except it didn’t really work with Twilight Sparkle when she became an apprentice.  
Even the birth was kept a secret under the guise of a state visit to a far out country.  
When the filly was born she was named Leana by Celestia  
However she realized that when Nightmare moon returned her filly would be too young to defend herself.  
So she entrusted her filly to her lover Tempest and together worked out a plan to wipe her memory of scootaloo.  
All the way to the subconscious level which is extremely dangerous and at worst can cause the brain to stop functioning (death).  
The reason for that is to prevent Nightmare Moon from infiltrating her mind and so find out of the existence of scootaloo.  
Tempest would insert a magical keyword in an ancient language of his ancestors to undo the spell once Nightmare Moon was defeated and he would come out of hiding.
 
It would have worked out fine if one of the old enemy of Tempest didn’t show up unexpected.  
Tempest now facing his old and most dangerous enemy cannot go to his lover for help so he has to deal with the threat alone.  
He took his newborn daughter to an old friend of his who lived in Manehatten and ran an orphanage.  
He cast a powerful disguise spell on his daughter to look like a Pegasus instead of an alicorn.  
He also cast a spell to handicap her in her flying to be double sure (Tempest comes from a long line of the best flyers)
 
Once he subdued his enemy he would come back and recover his daughter.  
Days went by, then week, then months, and by the first year the mare who ran the orphanage saw the little filly playing with an old scooter.  
It’s there where she decided to name the little filly scootaloo.
 
All this time Celestia went on as if nothing happened but she felt a strange sensation as if something is missing in her life.
 
The mare of the orphanage who named Leana Scootaloo became ill and later died.  
At age 10 Scootaloo moved to ponyville for her own safety since she always got into trouble on the streets of Manehatten.  
She often got into fights and her rough, short tempered and coltish personality stuck.  
In ponyville she lives with the relatives of the mare who took her into the orphanage.
 
15 years later Tempest’s disguise spell finally wore off and the now teen Scootalo in one night grew a horn.  
However Celestia has no idea she has a teen daughter living in Ponyville.  
In fact seeing how Scootaloo as a teen resembles in some area her she thinks it may be another Nightmare Moon Nyx conspiracy but instead of Luna she is involved.  
To make sure Scootaloo was invited to live in Caterlot castle for closer observation.
 
It was there scootaloo found out half the truth.  
Celestia after been given a hint by Twilight Sparkle who confessed seeing her Pregnant 15 years ago decided with the help of Luna to investigate her memories.  
To Luna’s surprise magic was used to give Celestia selective amnesia but even more baffling the magic bore traces of Celestia’s magic.  
Scootaloo after founding out bits of information and drawing her own conclusion left Canterlot castle infuriated.
 
Even at one time almost sawing off her horn being stopped just in time by Twilight.

Oh yeah….Didn’t she also wipe her memory? I know Celestia may have given her up, but she must have had a good reason. That and I’m not sure you should resent someone in this instance.
 
I mean, in Celestia’s case, she just found out herself (again) and doesn’t know how to react. {Honestly, I’m also not a fan of antagonizing/hating Celestia.)

@Evowizard25 I’m not really sure? Most likely because in this universe, Celestia didn’t actually help raise Scootaloo, only telling her once she was an adult/became an alicorn for some reason or another? That would probably help give Scootaloo a lot of resentment towards Celestia.

What kind of issues? Please don’t tell me Celestia’s an idiot/jerk in this verse. (I’ve looked at the artist’s work, most of it anyway, but I don’t really know why Scootaloo is acting this way.)

Ah, one of the “Scootaloo Morningstar” worldlines. As if she didn’t have enough trouble in her quest for self-identity.
