Yeah, he came very close to winning simply by preparing for just about every possibility 1000 years in advance.
I don’t know, after all the hammy villains we got already, Sombra being a more subtle villain was a nice change of pace, I felt. Plus all his traps in his castle showed how creepy, and genre-savvy he was. The “nightmare” door was a nice touch to.
Sure, that’s why Sombra and Flash Sentry are such beloved characters, compared to super lame villain Nightmare Moon.
No characterisation IS bad characterisation. If they’d made Sombra a stereotypical villain like NMM then he’d still be a way better character.
On the other hand, giving them no characterisation has given the fandom the freedom to try and fix them. But it’s really not our jobs to do that.
IDW Luna is a character, and a brilliant one! Canon Luna isn’t a character at all yet.
No characterazation is better than bad characterazation.
But what will happen to that sauce and the piece of art after some time has passed?
I kind of want her to visit Shining Armor’s dreams in an episode…
Not before we visit hers, it seems.
As opposed to the show, where she practically has no character outside of “Luna Eclipsed.” Though, I guess the “Luna invades Scootaloo & Sweetie’s dreams” episodes at least show her compassionate side.
Calling it now, there’s going to be a “Luna visits Applebloom’s dreams” ep’ in Season 5.
IDW Luna is already a clusterfuck of a character.
If it was in the comic, I’d understand the complaining, but it’s not… (Hasbro would never let ‘em get away with that.) This is basically satirical fanart that just happens to be made by one of the comic artists, as it’s not canon, or anything.
At least it shows Andy is fond of the series.
