Probably not as much as you’d think. I’m a vocal critic you know, and every reply pulls me riiight back here!
It’ll keep it from spreading though.
Good idea, guess it’s best to not bring that drama/discussion here on an unrelated image.
Removing the tag isn’t going to erase the discussion. But, “drama” was probably inaccurate in the first place, so I’m certainly not going to try and stop ya.
I’m gonna go ahead and remove it. It’s a funny comic and I wouldn’t want Reflection whiners to clog it up with their bitching.
Don’t know, probably doesn’t matter sense people aren’t commenting on this image much anymore.
So should we remove the tag then?
Probably due to the earlier comments, which are admittedly off-topic.
Definitely. He is a shapeshifting prankster, after all.
Those panels seriously makes me want to learn more about Discord’s past.
True, some fans focus to much on what they don’t like about the MLP series/franchise, rather then the things they do like about it. While it’s perfectly fine to criticize what you don’t like about it, some go overboard. (Same with those who are more positive about the show/comic.)
Still, I’m amazed Season 4 made it by without as much drama as Season 3. So maybe the fanbase isn’t getting to negative/unpleasable yet.
As I said I don’t love everything pony-related blindly, but I just don’t have that many complaints about the show/comic personally as other fans do. I guess ‘cause I’m a more casual brony.
I wouldn’t say so, because the problems I mentioned before are still there. That stuff is merely keeping appearances consistent.
True, but anyone who cared to do so could see this coming a year ago. Every episode and every comic has problems, and it’s all too easy to focus on those problems and say the story’s ruined as a result.
Reminds me of the Sonic fanbase in regards to the official Sonic comics. You either love them, or hate them. Personally, I still like the Sonic comics dispite not loving every issue, (the less said about “Sonic Live” the better…) and not liking some things about them. Same with the MLP comic series.
I felt the Twilight, Dashie, Spike, & Fluttershy micros were kinda dull personally, but I still enjoyed them. (And I liked the gremlings personally.)
I think it might be Starswirl since that was the only comic Meghan had read. Maybe because she wanted to make him appear and since he was already in comics she need to know how to depict him? That would mean Reflections are canon though….
This,
@Background Pony #C19A
and, oh boy.
Meghan and Jason mentioned that they may use some things from comics in tv series.
I would have been okay with viewing the comics as canon if they were stylistically consistent with the show, but they are not. I’m not talking about art direction, I’m talking about how exactly the stories play out.
The comic which was linked in an earlier comment shows some genuine feeling on the part of Discord, but any notion of that is swept aside as completely meaningless in the show. There is no reconciliation between the two whatsoever.
The TV series is going to do whatever it’s going to do, whatever happens in the comic. Several major events take place in this sub-continuity that should have been major game changers, but nothing in the show is the least bit affected by them. Of course, the comic by contrast tries to refer back to events in both the show and Equestria Girls all the time. That’s why I see it as a one-way street, where the show feeds the comic, but not the other way around.
I view that as a good thing because yeah, I don’t really like most of the comics. There are plenty of episodes I don’t like as well, but sadly, I can’t just write them off in the same way.
I dunno. Someone said that that one comic’s canon.
why is that?
