Actually, when both Spitfire and Soarin’ were introduced, both had something about their eyes. Spitfire got an update, Soarin’ didn’t (well for his eyes anyway), but it’s like in Rainbow Falls they really couldn’t decide what to do with his eyes.

It’s probably just an eye design that’s unique to Soarin’. Think of it like this: go back and read some old “Peanuts” comics, and notice the subtle difference in Linus’s and Lucy’s eyes to everyone else’s. Those are some old semicircles on some young kids.

Soarin’ has a semi-circle around his eye, I don’t know but maybe Soarin’s… older?
