ship tease of a pair that would never get shipped in FiM is pretty much against their continuity and they should check this as much as they check for Scootaloo flying in the comics. If they allowed for the hintation of fluttercord it meant its alright in their book. They were never against shipping though, Meghan always have a last word. She can choose to reference Reflections with Somblestia or this comic when writing an episode. However there are lot of people who say that Meghan doing this ship on purpose based on her episodes - KCaFO, PTS, TaC and TK(aso rumored episode in S5)
Not really. “Consistency” does not equate to canonicity with the show’s timeline.

And based on what comic writers said, Hasbro check comics for inconsistency with FiM series which would suggest that everything in the comics is also canon. I doubt there will be any significant ship teases but if they are then they will be canon to the series
Yeah kind of… I think I can agree with everything you just said. Normally I couldn’t justify shipping Discord with anyone let alone a main character but sometimes this comic (and show) do make me wonder.

The boys thing was more of a save line than a real interest…the painting nails thing was probably a real thing. I don’t think Discord cares whether he does boy/girl things as long as he’s having fun….
Is anyone else getting some Fluttercord vibes? I’m not exactly one to ship them, but I kind of feel them this issue. {If anything, the show likes to lean to that ship.}
