Unless she enters in another conundrum of doubts thinking that what’s she’s doing resembles steampunk but weeeellll not really… XD
@egophiliac
Well, it is a world of sentient machines. Logically speaking, it could be argued that if someone on Twilight’s level made an internet machine, she could easily make something that can create visual puns and be able to look into flashbacks. Throw in some technical gobbledygook that sounds impressive to explain it, and Bob’s your uncle.
oh huh, I thought it was pretty common in askblogs to have a kind of framing premise like that, even if it was just “they somehow got the internet and are on tumblr, don’t think about it too hard”. maybe it’s just the blogs I read!
I figured I should have some in-universe explanation though, even a vague and ill-defined one, because I’ve had them react directly to the questions before. and I thought it would be kinda cute and Twilight-y to want to show off share this important research with the world! she is a teacher at heart. c:
that said it’s probably gonna be pretty loose and inconsistent about what’s actually ‘broadcasting’ because I still want to be able to do cutaways and non-literal imagery (heck, the very next post is a flashback). maybe I need to come up with some visual distinction or something :I9
My favorite is probably JanAnimation’s “Ask the Crusaders”, where the CMC initially get the questions through their laptop computer, but then the questions literally start breaking the fourth wall, so much so they have to ask Pinkie Pie what the heck is going on?!
Oh. Well. I wasn’t expecting that. I suppose every askblog needs some kind of framing device, but this still surprised me.
Well, it would be weirder without it. You have ask blogs like Velevt’s where you have no idea where the questions are coming from. It’s always been weird, unless the subject of the asks is specifically using the internet.
Had a similar thought. Figured it might look kinda like a parasprite.

Just glue some gears on it and call it steampunk, ego! :D
Don’t worry about it. As I said, I should’ve expected something like this. Just enjoy making the humanized steampunk horses. ^^

I choose to believe there is something like this but with a screen full of text floating around Twi all the time.

I want to see that fucking happen now.
I’m not the only one who thought of… Right? ahem.
