You could load the pillowcases with heavy knicknacks & try braining her. Caught a nasty head-scrape at, oh, age 9 when my little sister started idly swinging a big lump o’ quartz around.

I dimly recall this thing’s start, and still don’t think Not-Redheart’s exact deal has been spelled out just yet. Pretty sure it isn’t possession, but…something else…using a changeling-style glamour. That TK effect does remind me of Tirek’s, but this affair seems a touch convoluted for him. Also not sure there’s any limit to ‘her’ tampering with any given character here aside from their contributions to the Name Game(R). Hence the threats to ‘encourage’ participation & redistribute Twiley’s life essence. Or somesuch.

Criminy, I hope FDBB’s plotted this a bit more tightly than it seems.

Well, it seems that she can only use each mare once, if that scene from the previous page is any indication, in which case, she’s running out of moves as a result. Also, attacking Nurse Redheart isn’t what they’re after when they’re trying to destroy the evil spirit within her.

Or something.

I haven’t read all of it.

Not gonna. XD

Technically, this one’s an unofficial comic based on a kid’s show, which brainscrewed a supporting character plus former Big Bad(R) before the antagonist even got overt about her ill designs. And frankly, even if he were power-tripping heavy, not sure why Tirek didn’t spare a second to stomp or nuke his depowered nemesis, pawn & assorted troupe.

My problem with this gun-shy approach to ‘Redheart’? Thus far, she seems to need focus on one target for her mojo to work, be it touch-triggered vowel removal (i.e. what Spike, then Discord picked up) or this psychokinetic crap. As such, what’s stopping her from rinse-and-repeating this hostage ploy if the whole room gives her a breather while they puzzle over their next move?

One issue with that is that it requires having their friends to go near the villain, who could spring a trap. While it’s true that the trap isn’t likely to hit all of them, the severity of the trap makes it too risky to risk their health over.

Worst case scenario, they complete their plan (As Tirek did), and STILL fail due to something they didn’t foresee. And I say “Worst”, because it’s still a Kid’s Show and villains aren’t allowed to succeed for more than an episode.

That…actually plays into a trope I’m rapidly tiring of: supervillain free to smarm it up over their Master Plan(R) inching closer to success, whilst the hero(in)es rack their brains for some means to undo it, with no effort made to subdue the leering nag so (s)he can’t toss any further wrenches into their works. Granted, she might now have Tirek-grade Cosmic Powah(TM) or some MacGuffin crap, but at least trying would buy time for the Deep Lateral Thinkers(R) (e.g. Pie) to puzzle all this out.

OK. ‘Redheart’ only seems to lock down one victim at at time with her heart-splodey mind-haxxing mojo, and nopone jumps her mid-monologue? Or kicks her once she switches to Spike? For rut’s sake, we’ve seen Pinkie whomp on her earlier. Regardless of its long-term effectiveness, she can be pounded to a satisfying state of toothlessness, then stapled to a wall & “calmly” interrogated. Way to railroad, Fou.

Oh, right, the vote: all four letters, in any order putting A last.
