Probably really tasty?
But what is the value of a single taco in base 10?
Sonata does math in base-taco.
Edited
What can I say, really? The more evil one ambushed me. The way she swings around her voice, they should stick her in the army.
Sonata: No I’m not!
Adagio: WUTS NAHN PLUS TIN?
Sonata: …..twenty huan?
Adagio: You stupid
In her defence, it has been almost 6 days since Taco Tuesday.
What I’m saying is that Sonata is using incorrect, inconsistent notation. She’s adding the numbers in Base 12, but expressing the solution as Base 10. That’s really the only way the expression makes any logical sense.
Or she could just be a ditz. For realzies.
I’m doing my calculations in the bases mentioned, using the numbers in the pciture, reverted back to base10 (for ease of comprehension).
So for the base 11 example: 9 in base 11 is still 9, 10 is (10)11 and 21 is (10)23. So 9 plus 11 equals 20, and not 23 as it would’ve been if base 11 was used.
However, it DOES work in Base 12, if you convert the solution back to Base 10. (still looks weird though)
9 is still 9, but 10 is actually twelve (because ten is “A” and eleven is “B”) ; thus 9 + 10 = 19 -> 9 + 12 = 21.
Oh wait. It adds up to 20 in Base 10. I’m an idiot. This is why I wish we could edit comments.
@Classy, @Soarinjack
That’s not how bases work. In Base 11, 9 is still 9 but 10 is 11 (since ten would be “A”) ; so 9 + 10 = 19 = 21
Base 11: 9 + 11 = 23
Base 12: 9 + 12 = 25
Base 13: 9 + 13 = 27
Sorry, Sonata. it doesn’t work, but I’ll give you this tace menu as a consolation price. Friends?
…Which makes 9, 10, and 10, 11. Ergo, that makes it 10 + 11 = 21.
Sonata likes to go one step beyond, it seems.
She is technically right, so long as you do one of the biggest steps wrong. Dividing by zero, yo no comprendo.
I don’t know who was teaching you math, but you have the right to demand a refund.
So somehow Sonata Dusk is a math genius, but doesn’t realize it?
