Source Filmmaker is a great tool for animating ‘professionally’, Gmod is used better if you want to make more spastic or deranged type of movies. But for still screenshots, I really don’t think there’s much of a difference.

Seriously dude, look at the SFM remake of the vicious cycle of 2fort to see what I mean.
 
It’s funny, but it just doesn’t have the same charm as the original.
