Well i don’t know about the others, but for me, this episode make me hate Rarity, and she my favorite characters, you know how fans say Rarity selfish and doesn’t care about her friend, well i disagree with that, in all the episode when Rarity come off as those, i can see it in a positive light, but what Rarity did in “secret to my excess” was low, even for my standard, Spike giving away is birthday gift, a gift he made for himself. now i know people will say, “Well he give it to her on his own free will” yes he did, but i still don’t like, what kind of friend or lover take a gift that you make for yourself, that horrible, well in my eyes anyway, but ever since that episode, Sparity had a dominoe effect on me, i when back to watch pervious episode that had Sparity moment, and it make me hate Rarity, Spike being out the worst in Rarity for if me, and i hate that, and that why i hate Sparity.

Wait, what? I’ve heard of some episodes putting holes in Sparity, but all I’ve heard is that one doing the opposite.

yeah, i hate Sparity because of the episode “secret to my excess” that episode ruining Sparity for me.

I like Sparity, at least when Pia-chan or Carni draw it, although Rarijack is still my OTP.
 
But yeah, I don’t care who ships what, so long as there isn’t any ship-to-ship combat. Doesn’t mean there aren’t ships I hate. There’s plenty, but I just avoid them or filter them out.
