Ugh, I hate the term “friendzone”. Just because a girl is your friend and she doesn’t find you attractive doesn’t mean you should whine and bitch and shame her for it.

How often do your friends emphasize how much of a friend you are during a single day? It’s not really what she called him, just how jarringly often.

Writers engaging in maximum damage control. Can’t have that interracial relationship allegory in kids’ show. Might pick up some ideas and start fucking dragons IRL.
Are we talking about the dialogue that episode or the friendzone? Because I have to out in the hat that that episode had some of the most awkward dialogue between Spike and Rarity.
I too hate this made-up definition of friendzone that threatens to ruin the use of the term as it was originally intended.
Yes it does
And vice-versa.
oh yeah ;D
AJ…?

Sure, why not?
Well, what the hell was Rarity going to call Spike? Her potential mate when he comes of age?

I’m talking more about how the writers really put the emphasis on the word friend many, many times.
Spike is not one of those people, and he appreciates friendship a great deal.
How many times did Rarity say friend at the end of that episode?
It felt so… not them.
Also, I’m suddenly reminded of one of my favorite fan-comic parodies. >>222275
There’s a blonde mare that Spike can tap does that count?
