Don’t get me wrong. A booru is better than no booru. I’ve gotten used to db, and I’m not leaving anytime soon. It’s just… I miss the old groove now. Random shit gets posted, everyone spams the front 36 pics with random comments based on timezone, and the meta-humor everywhere.  
I can’t leave. I knew that 4 years ago. So I’ve accepted that fact and instead of complaining every day about the little things that bother me, I just move on like an adult should. So I make the best of it. Utilize the new functions, maintain my watches and favorites and likes, and browse just the same.  
But it’s not the same.

Ponibooru Reg here. ;u; The whole change was kinda sudden for me, too. I didn’t know if there were maybe previous warnings of it happening or not. And I just came to the Ponibooru site one day and BAM, The site is gone forever ( or at least in Read-Only mode ). I would personally like to apologize to the mods and people here at Derpibooru for such a huge, chaotic influx of activity. ;u; I think I speak for a few people when I say 1) We’re just scrambling so hard to find something for our daily intake of pony awesomeness, and scrambling to get all the images we loved onto this new site for us. Kinda like suddenly being moved from where you live to a new place, the best way to be comfortable again is to make it seem like “Home”. and 2) We’re all very appreciative of your patience and understanding and hard work. Taking in such a large amount of users who haphazardly post whatever they can find is probably very hair pulling and hectic. ;u; but we appreciate it all the same. And we thank you. Please don’t let some of the “bad apples” ruin your image of us, as they’re few and far between, I think.

It’s been more of a hectic experience than an objectively bad one. Just having to deal with things a lot sooner than we expected. You guys were always going to be welcome here. Clover in particular is the guy who’s suffered; he’s been doing a lot of frantic coding on not very much sleep over the last couple of days to try and get things together ASAP.

Sorry to you and your pals. Most of us are nice, really! I try to refrain from posting, and I use tags and even source URLs when I do. After the influx of posts have calmed down (everyone’s doing some crazy image-transferring!) it’ll calm down, fingers crossed.

I’ve already adapted. Ponibooru won’t really be missed.
 
I don’t want to speak for the native users here, but every time I became a part of a small community, it felt really lonely and I wished more people would visit and do things. I remember browsing Derpibooru before Poni died and thought “jesus, these people must be really bored.” I hope you guys think it’s as much of an improvement as I do.

It’s been horrifying. We weren’t expecting to have to deal with you for another week at least. Almost everyone who actively used Derpibooru before you guys showed up was involved in administrating it somehow, so we’re not so much regulars as a mod team who suddenly has users to moderate. Lots of users. Users who keep doubleposting everything and won’t tag stuff properly. ARGH
 
But we’re doing our best to adapt as quickly as possible.
