I’m glad that it’s catching on as an alternative cause a lot less people have issues with it, and while inhaling anything into your lungs besides air is a bad thing, I’m sure these are a lot better than real cigs. I will say that after having 10 ecig users in one room who fogged it up in a matter of minutes makes me understand why they’re being banned in a lot of places, but hey, now I can at least finally smoke in my car without worrying about killing the awesome leather smell! Haha
 
And I’m sorry, but wow, I just have to point out that we just had an intelligent conversation about smoking (read: not a flame war) in the comment section of derpibooru. Look at us :P

Honestly I’m not big on secondhand smoke either, so I get that. Part of the reason I switched to an ecig is I really like the act of smoking and the flavor but having to deal with the aftertaste and smell on my clothes all day. (And not wanting to subject my girlfriend to that either) Not to mention the extremely satisfying clouds ecigs are producing these days (and subsequently getting them banned everywhere haha)

Eh my comment was mostly a joke. I know people get pleasure from the chemicals. I don’t like smoking at all, though, because I grew up with a parent who did it and it was pretty unbearable.

It’s almost impossible to explain to a non-smoker but besides the more obvious pleasure from the tobacco itself (which can be debated I guess) it does also have social benefits comparable to that of idk, driving a motorcycle. We stick together, and I’ve actually met many of my friends through smoking. Honesty though, it’s usually as simple as liking to smoke. (And yeah, I know it’ll kill me, but I’ve all but switched over to a drip mod [vape] these days anyway)@Background Pony

For some, smoking provdes pleasures, for others, it does not. But as fictional characters can’t die from smoking, I don’t understand why people have problems with that.

But smoking is bad with literally no benefits except imagined happiness at the expense of the happiness of those around you as well as personal health.

Despite all the work the U.S. government has done to make smoking evil, they can’t stop this horse from making it look awesome.
