You’re parsing the hate a lot more finely than the haters themselves are; to them, Islam totally is a race, and they’re just not intelligent enough to understand the difference. Never mind that the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation is Indonesia, or that there are thousands of Christian Palestinians and hundreds of thousands of Christian Arabs, or crrraaazy stuff like Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all worshipping the same God of Abraham and Moses.

I’m straight and even I admire the man. He was a great composer, singer and stage presence, and he died way too early.
