Not a Llama - Happy April Fools Day!

@PonyPon
The wasps usually used for that are often bred to reduce stinger size and venom potency. Besides, they’re nowhere near as bad as the caterpillars for anyone trying to grow tobacco or tomatoes. The only thing the tobacco hornworm is good for is as a laboratory test animal.

Adult moths aren’t unless you encounter a particularly large number of them and they start swarming around you. Some of the bigger ones can also be rather annoying by flying into window screens and making loud thwop noises. The caterpillars, however, can be quite destructive. Some of the most infamous of these are the tomato and tobacco hornworms. The adults are fairly ordinary, if rather large, brown moths. The caterpillars will wreak complete havoc on any plants they find, particularly, as the name suggests, tomatoes and tobacco. They’re named because the caterpillars have enormous spike thingies on them and they devour tomato and tobacco leaves. Methods of controlling them include bringing in wasps to lay eggs on them, paralyzing them in the process.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

When I first visited the US, we were greeted by a GIANT MOTH. It was the size of my hand! And we were all kinda scared of the implications that had for insects in general.

Five years later, and the only thing that frightens me is the sight of black widows, brown recluses, and scorpions. I’m yet to encounter the many snakes, and I’d rather it stay that way.

But still, having a harmless, if rather large, bug practically forewarn us of the others was nice in hindsight

Too bad the adults of that moth species have no mouths and cannot feed. They only live a few days.
