U wot m8. Look at those lines. Look at them! They are obviously vectored. And I know, because I’ve done a fair bit of vectoring myself.
If you view this image at its native res, the lines are quite blurry. Also, the transition between the ‘eyeshadow’ and the surrounding area looks like airbrush.
Nothing about this image seems like a vector at all.
Hold on a second. I just rummaged around in Anime Studio (with which I vector things myself, and with which I suspect this was also made) for thirty seconds and found a blur effect. And looking at the way the blurred portions on this aren’t quite flush with the surrounding edges, instead looking like independent shapes, it is more than possible that this was all done by vector.
(I mean, seriously dude. Nightmare Moon’s mane is blurred, and that’s all made out of vectors right there.)
Well, fine. If you’re sure vectors can’t have built-in blurring.
Gaussian Blur is a raster effect. It’s a form of post-processing the image.
Why not?
The shading in the eyes, blush, and shadows can not be achieved with vector graphics.
It clearly is.
It seems like they work when shes back on all fours. If she straightens out any more they’ll probably slip, unless they are attached to her tail or necklace.
