I miss when brushables had mostly new characters, and they didn’t need to resort to gimmicks to have interesting looking ponies. :[

I REMEMBER THIS PONY.
 
When the first photos of this toy came out, everyone was speculating that she’d play some role in the show, since she had such radically different artwork from the other ponies that came out at the time (other ponies were just recolors of the mane six). There was also Lily Blossom.
 
Guess they really didn’t need the characters for the show. Though that still begs the question for why they got unique artwork.
