Apple Leaves: This is Apple Tart pushing the shy colt up with her tail and this little thing is my sweet Sweet Apple. chuckles Yah, I know cous’. Just here with the rest my little ‘herd’ on a bit of vacation.
Applejack: Sweet and Tart how themed was that, and what is that there little miss? tipping her hat at Leaves’ heavy girth.
Apple Leaves: chuckling Oh, just colt and filly ten and eleven. Out latest additions. Really should think about some names, gettin’ a bit tight. blushing
Applejack: Yah, you’d think of something. So, vacation you said? Finally time to leave the city. Must be getting a bit tight there to yah know. I really don’t see how you can do it tilting over seeing Tart go between his mother’s legs He still on?
Apple Leaves: Yep. He will be getting off soon though, and you hit the apple on that one, but actually it goes a bit further. You see we’d been thinking about leaving the city for good. Eleven foals is more then hoof full in our town house, it more than time to get out of the plush lifestyle and come out here, not per-say Ponyville about aroun’. Definitely will help out the oldests.

Glad I found this pic. I’m sure it was at the time of the airing of the episode, but I can’t find much about Apple leaves and her being a broodmare. Would love to see what fans have come up with.

Just figured 5-6 years of gestatin’ plus foalcare plus harvests might run her slightly less ragged than a decade-and-change.
I similes that she regularly had only one goal each time. Putting twins at a ‘standard’ occurence. Be it this would only be her first or second twin pregnancy
Must’ve missed that in the barn-raising hustle & bustle. Sorely tempted to go with M-P’s tendency-for-multiples headcanon just to cut down on the long-haul portion of her ordeal. Plus reasons.
