Wouldn’t that be an epic and cute episode in Season 4 if that happen?!?!? 😆 This took a day to finish, too many freaken distraction and boy my hands are hurting T^T Meaning I did the sketch yesterday. That’s why the date said the 9th. Also another reason was because people voted they wanted a Fluttercord Valentine Special. Though I did this instead. Well that’s shipping in a nuttshell
I gues there should exist 2 definition to describe shippers: the one who just like random characters together; and the one that like to characters interaction and then ship them
At least Bulkshy is a ship I can understand and it’s more interesting than fluttermac.
Personally I will never understand ships with no interaction within the show, it’s just falls flat to me. It’s like ‘‘yaoi’’ shipping, shipping two male characters only because they are hot together.
Because people weren’t shipping it because of looking at the interaction. They always liked shy/shy pairings even before watching mlp. And since the only pairing in the show that could fulfill this preferation is Fluttermac, they shipped it already in S1.
Although part of their original shippers tend to also migrate toward BulkShy because they had more interaction and Bulk is at least not already connected to anyone while Big Mac have strong ties with Cheerilee and make it less likely to interact with Fluttershy in the future
Hmmm, interesting view, never thought about it that way.
But, I don’t know, I guess it’s just a personal preference of mine to like ships with opposites, two character complementing each others for their flaws. Mac and shy are just to similar for me. Since whenever I imagine fluttermac, all I picture is awkward silence between them.
But each to their own, I guess. Just surprised this ship is so popular, since there is no interaction going on between the characters in the show.
That’s the nature of it, really.
It’s a very, very slow, quiet ship. Unlike more “dynamic” ones (like SoarinDash), FlutterMac is more about a lazy boat on a lake, or tender picnics in the meadow. It IS slow because their love would go at that pace. For some this is boring, sure, but for others is very romantic.

I think it is a case of “changing the bad guys” dynamic over characters that are similar with no conflict. It would be creepy if Discord was really rotten from the inside and still using her but we know that he is not that evil and still capable to learn how to act
but discord is much worse than mac,
i mean yes you have the canon friendship and all of that but discord has and most likely will be a very…disturbing personality, he is tricky, manipulative, we have seen him snap back to evil really fast so i do not see that type of person being a match for a shy, in an abusive ship maybe but not romantically…
and you know all the fanart showing him as such does not help but hell around these parts you either like the grimdark and beatings or you gtfo.

I don’t even give a fuck about shipping, and I still think “fluttercord” works so much better than “fluttermac”.
