He was dating Scarlet, not Obscurus Lupa. Lupa is in a relationship with Phelous.
 
Spoony did not make a crude remark towards Lupa, he made it towards Jesu Otaku. And apparently, and this is from hearsay, that Jesu Otaku had let the joke slide. Then Lupa got wind of it and started making a big deal about it even though everyone pretty much everyone involved moved past it.
 
And then it pretty much snowballed from there until Spoony was let go from the site. To say that people were pissed is a severe understatement. A lot of accusations were thrown Lupa’s way alleging she did it on purpose to start shit while Spoony was suffering through a bout of depression at the time.
 
The whole debacle wasn’t very pretty as people were pretty much forced to pick sides or try to remain neutral. Lets just hope that eventually all parties can reconcile.

Spoony is still friends with some of the producers over at TGWTG, he messages them all the time on twitter

Spoon wasn’t dating Obscurus Lupa, he was dating a woman named Scarlet and it ended badly which led to Spoony going into a depression
 
Lupa basically commented on a two month old tweet Spoon left to Jesu Otaku that implied rape, which caused the firestorm that eventually led to Spoon getting kicked off

Damn, there is so much more to TGWTG than meets the eye. The only people I know are the Critic, Chester A. Bum, Nostalgia Chick, Angry Joe, and some of the people who did crossovers with the critic, but I don’t really “know” them. And with that story below me, it kinda just blew my mind. I don’t really know what else to say other than wow…

Okay, so, basically here’s what happened: Lupa broke up with Spoony a while ago, but Spoony wasn’t quite over her. This contributed to the months long depression Spoony had fallen into, which affected his video output. Later, supposedly while not completely sober, Spoony made a crude remark about Lupa on twitter. Something along the lines of “If if things don’t work out with you and [new boyfriend], you could always live in my basement so I can rape you.” (Mind you, this is not the exact quote)
 
Obviously, this caused quite a stir. Spoony was told he would be suspended from the site for a month, but he just decided to quit, cursing at anyone who tried to talk rationally to him along the way. Jontron even tried to intervene, but Spoony told him to screw off as well.
 
Some of the TGWTG stick up for spoony (Angry Joe being one, if I recall) and still try to smooth things over, but to no avail. The rest of the crew have not been on good terms with him since, and all of his videos have been taken down.
 
Rumor has it that Spoony will try to get his own website and make new videos there, but nothing has been made concrete yet.
