Don’t know about you but none of the villiains in MLP never had anything good before redemption. But ones who had potential - got it. HMM - is actually offended sister, Sunset - offended student. Discord… well chaos is not necessarily a bad thing. Chrysalis and swarm - just another kind, so they got least punishment. Tirek and Sombra - Sombra was “a evil force” and never had any personality. Tirek had personality, but only good thing that could have been in him - relationship with brother (But we know what Tirek thinks about him)
 
Sirens, however, in my opinion, the only ones who had potential but didn’t get it. Good side of their sister relationship? Their goal - make every everyone adore them - is not that horrible (it’s bad how they do it).  
And I said about magic loss already - it’s fine, loss of voices is not fine.

Sirens seem less scared and more humiliated when they run off, at least from where I’m sitting.
 
There’s plenty of villains that didn’t get redeemed, from Suri to Tirek and everything in between. If anything, it’s Sunset who’s the exception.
 
And if the sirens hadn’t lost their magic, they would not have stopped. It’s that simple.

You know, Sunset lost nothing except school popularity. Sirens lost their magic. We’ve seen in the movie that they just was scared and run away.  
And what? Discord didn’t want redemption too.

Let’s be fair, Sunset practically begged to be saved from herself once she was defeated. The sirens just kept going even with their gems broken, like they thought they could still brain-jack people. I don’t think they’d want redemption.
