I also have the G3 mini-DVD entitled “Meet the Ponies” containing 7 shorts (1 for each of the Core 7 ponies), but I cant remember where I put the darn thing. xD
(Also replaced my damaged R1 copy of Rainbow Rocks with a new, pristine R2 copy…dammit, the spines still don’t match lol!)
Please, fire away! I’ll happily answer anything if I can. :)
Thanks. This is, of course, a very old photo now - only the first three seasons and two movies from G4/EqG. xD
I might update it someday. :)
In case you wondered, I’m a grown man. (*and these are just a tiny fraction of my DVDs). :)
I got that disc too, it has the G3.5 ponies on the tiny disc label but has the G3 cartoons. Luckily I got that before I got a version with the G3 pones on the label, otherwise I’d’ve thought they were separate releases. :)
Fortunately though I got mine with a G3 Rainbow Dash, not a creepy G3.5 one. ;P
That’s true, they do still exist (which is about the only thing that proves they should be in the official releases). A few people were lucky enough to be able to record the specials on home VHS when they originally aired, and some of those are still in pretty watchable condition. :)
There are youtube videos that have the original versions up there. Too lazy to find best/good ones now, but just look and you’ll see them!
Actually, the TV specials had stuff cut from them for time reasons back when they were first repeated in the late 80s. Unfortunately, the cut bits (which I believe were mostly tiny edits and one whole song in the case of each special) were then subsequently lost and have never been recovered.
As such, all releases of the specials on both VHS video and more recently on DVD are still incomplete, but are as complete as they’re ever likely to get. :(
Wait, the TV specials had stuff cut from the DVD release?
3)MLP the Movie
OPTIONAL BONUS) all the other unrelated shorts. I’ve been particularly interested in seeing more Glow Friends and Moondreamers
As an aside, I always found it weird that the two G1 series had ’opposite names.
the action-adventure drama: ’My Little Pony ‘n Friends’
the slice-of-life comedy: ‘My Little Pony Tales’
Go figure!
Okay, fine. Any sitcom AFTER the ’90s.
Well what can I say then? Occasionally, I find it’s fun to switch my brain off and enjoy some fun, rubbish Nickelodeon teen-sitcom. :P
Except for the ones from the 90’s.
Pretty much any “sitcom” on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon is garbage.
Aaah, I think I saw that on Amazon while I was trying to get the movies. As I recall, there was also a 3-movie “Gift Set” which further included A Very Minty Christmas. :)
Just two movies and two shorts. It’s called “My Little Pony: Classic Movie Collection” (if we think about the same thing), it is sold for example on Amazon. There is not much on it :(
Princess Promenade
Dancing In The Clouds
Runaway Rainbow
Friends Are Never Far Away
There’s a 2-disc set of the G3s? Does it contain all of G3, or just some some of it? :)
They might have TRIED to put season 1 in chronological order (emphasis on “tried,” since no one, not even the writers, can seem to figure it out)… A few DVDs for the G1 Transformers series reorders season 2 episodes to be more in production order but also more in chronological order, though season 3 tends to not be as lucky in terms of re-ordering.
Season 1 of Gen 4 is completely out of sequence on the DVDs in the UK releases.
Season 2 seems to be in the right order so far.
Umm…they do? Just significantly after they come out in America. Which is why I import them from the US to the UK so I don’t have to wait as long. :)
