Pinkie hasn’t gotten really sick from them, she became just nauseous because of their taste.  
Just a few minutes after she was fine again.

That makes sense to me. Its like in our modern day, if you make a meal with things that are Only healthy and good for you, and ignore the things that add flavor and make it enjoyable to eat. Most people will shun that stuff and go “bleh! Thats like eating tree bark!” I think that was an example of that here. The food that those guys were living off of, were probably healthy enough to live off of, but probably lacked any flavor to make it enjoyable to eat.

I think maybe it’s that there were worms in the baked bads but Pinkie only ate one, while these are simply bad but she had to eat 12 of them. Not to mention that muffins are considered healthier which could work with some people’s cannon that healthy things can make Pinkie sick

To me, it felt like no one is competent at anything. So it sounds like it would’ve had to be really, really bad. When they talked about Pinkie having the strongest stomach out of all of them, it felt like they did consider these examples.
