I haven’t read the fic either. Not into fanfiction.

There’s a difference between a fic not clicking because you’re not into the subject matter and one that is indefensibly terrible, and that’s that.
 
Still hate PH more for taking such an epic steaming shit on such a great thing though.

Even before Past Sins was revised and posted again on EQD people for the most part were chill when it came to nyx pictures.
 
I don’t know what’s gotten into everyone since then because it’s absolutely ridiculous. If you don’t like nyx or can’t even stand looking at pictures of the character just add it to your filters. Instead of wrting the equivalent of peer reviewed articles as to why “this fic sucks” or “why she isn’t a mary sue”. If you already made your stance made you don’t need to repeat your stance on every picture.
 
As for the two of you proclaiming people are just trying to start something. You’re seeing trouble where there is none. This is nowhere near the amount of “nyxspam” that there was last year so bugger off.

I like Nyx, I wont say more than that. As for the drawing, Nyx’s face looks…odd

Hear hear Bardic. I like Nyx as a character because she makes Twilight seem more and more responsible.

Aye, William. That much is true. I personally think things like Fallout: Equestria and My Little Dashie would be much more highly regarded if fellow writers would leave those stories well enough alone instead of riding on coattails claiming they were “picking up where the original left off.”
 
It’s getting silly at this point. Fan art like this is okay, though. There’s just something that irks me to no end seeing a sequel to a fan fic by a different author that did not have the original creator’s consent or involvement in.

I try to ignore any fics that I think are either too popular or too unpopular.
 
The fanbase doesn’t really seem a group that knows quality most of the time.
 
I will, however, look up fics that I find uncommon, like stuff with Donut Joe. Because why not?

The thing is, if people left it alone, I would be fine with it.  
But they know people don’t like it and they keep making more and posting it.

There’s a thing called dignity and I’d like to keep it.

We’re both freaks, Zombie Trotsky. I, myself, haven’t read the fic that seems to be so vehemently reviled now. I have no intention of reading it because fellow colleagues like William here despise it so much, I wish to not share opinions on such a “controversial” topic out of fear I might get verbally stoned to death by other fans. It’s the same reason I refuse to buy Mass Effect 3. I know what people think of the ending, I know players feel like they were ripped off, but I refuse to see for myself and think differently.

If it’s shit, I’ll say it’s shit.  
I’m not going to lie to them about it.
