I can’t give you an episode-by-episode breakdown, but most of the time she seemed to live upstairs. The library was downstairs, and the science basement was not open to the public.

Ponyville has a new castle, but no new public library.

Nopony in Ponyville reads anyway. Its how Twi was able to turn a public library into an apartment in the first place. Nopony even batted an eye when the library asploded.
