Attacking another country wasn’t cool, but what you’re saying isn’t either. I cosplay things because I think they’re cute and like the character. I liked this design and relate to Milky Way’s character so I cosplayed her. I was prepared for creepy comments/attention obviously; doesn’t mean I enjoy it, but I’m not going to avoid doing things I love because of creepy dudes. Let’s face it, if you’re a woman on the internet, you could wear a potato sack and somebody would fetishize it. In wearing this cosplay I’ve also had several people- both men and women- approach me, saying I gave them inspiration to be more comfortable with their body type, or my confidence has given them inspiration to cosplay. That feels good! If it’s making me happy and making other people happy, why avoid doing it because of the one or two people that maybe take comments too far? :) Also keep in mind that it’s the internet- no matter what they say, it’s not like they can actually stick their dicks through the computer monitor and physically harass me lol.
