I’m okay with him not getting big roles, I just think there are times when he should at least get a mention and it’s weird that he doesn’t.

Yeah, that was pretty much my one disappointment with that episode. It would’ve taken only a couple lines of dialogue at a minute of the episode’s running time at most. I was also really annoyed that Shining Armor made only two appearances throughout all of season 4, and with the leaked episode title list that seems to have turned out to be true, I suspect that the only one that will feature him in a significant role is that Brotherhooves Social episode.
No kidding. That was one hell of an oversight.

Yeah. Kinda a shame, really. I mean, even Cadance gets to fight giant worm monsters and stuff every so often.
(Speaking of which, I’m slightly disappointed that they couldn’t spare five seconds in that episode for Twilight or Cadance to say something about him, mostly because Twi hasn’t seen him since the last time she saw Cadance, and it seems like she’d want to know how her own brother is doing.)
I said he looks small compared to Shining. not that he is small.
Still a better pairing than Twilight, too.

thats because he is a stallion. the stallions are bigger and stronger than a normal male pony
Actually, Shining is the one who’s noticeably bigger than the average pony.
