Dude, “reply” means “in response to” if you where adding to it then you needed to at lest add somthing along the lines of “to add to you comment” or it is coming off as you saying something oppose to what he said.  
It’s why when I want to add something to what someone already said I acknowledge it with somthing to note I agree.

There is no such thing as “if art have X, it’s automatically bad”. Take example: every character from DreamKeepers comic is a mix-and-match character, but it’s look good. Another example: most characters in Zoophobia webcomic have neon color coat and hairs. It’s look gorgeous. Or example in some commercial games: Yveltal, Destruction Pokémon associated with death, have red-and-black color. Color don’t make him shitty.

To be fair to the furry fandom, there isn’t a one “Show” or story in general that they can huddle around like the pony fandom, so things pretty much just end up at the ground level a lot more of smut. When I say ground level, I don’t mean it’s bad or poor, it’s just the quickest way to mine fun out of something. You can see two random characters doin’ it and get interested. Little bit harder to get emotionally invested in two random characters who, oh, don’t have a story because creating a story is a long drawn out process and drawing a one off picture of them railing each other is comparatively quicker.
 
And that’s the thing that stood out the most about the furry fandom back in the day, the thing everyone focused on when mocking it, was the sexual aspects. So if that’s what they’re mostly known for, correctly or not, that’s what they’re also mostly going to attract.
 
 
And I think we all need to give furries a bit more credit. They started out in the relative dark ages compared to bronies. They were pretty much the bullet sponges that came bursting through the heavy concrete walls of social acceptability so that bronies could walk through relatively unscathed. Sorta fucked up then to look down on them for being more fucked up than us.

Two prominent furry artists, Metal and ShenHibiki, have weird mix-and-match characteristics (Shen moreso because he is a shapeshifter, but has no known default form… Or I’ve never seen it, lol), but their OCs still look relatively appealing. It likely helps to have moderate artistic skill. :3

Actually being a huge nerd, gonna check how much porn we have here (including questionable stuff) And wow! We’ve only got 16% porn! Checking E621 now: 69% is porn… Oh… Probably just that one site. Can’t find the numbers for Furaffinity but I’m sure the percentage is lower there. Hopefully.
 
But you’re right in that we produce many bad OCs too. With that we’re pretty much even again. They also suffer from the Black & Red OC problem.

The average is being a mix of two species with two or three atypical colors involved. So no worse than all the dracony, half-changeling and alicorn OCs.

We don’t consider the Pony OC Generator OCs the norm in this fandom. The type of furries represented in this image however are the norm in the furry fandom. That’s the difference.
