I really would love for the actual ending of the episode would be Celestia thanking Discord for lightening the GGG up in his own strange way, Discord saying something that would be Discord, and then Celestia rubs her cheek with his and say something like hoping that he would come again. It’s not like a kiss or anything like that, but more like a little nuzzle–like she does to Twilight often.
 
Yeah, I know, it’s shippy, and more than likely the writers would never make a scene like that, but personally I would love that to show up.

i just love it when celestia shows off her impish side. i mean yeah she’s the almighty demigoddess of the sun but she has a very mortal and therefore very endearing sense of humor. plus she’s supernally adorable.

Good point. Still, it does not mean that Discord can’t get a giggle out of his former arch-enemy in Princess Celestia at Twilight’s expense.
 
She did invite him personally, after all. Just did not expect what would happen next while watching Discord’s comedy hour.

It might have worked during the time when Twilight was still having trouble learning how to fly but according to recent episodes, she’s gotten the hang of flying real well.

When I meant “Worfed” with everything, I meant with the Smooze and how some of its slime landed on the tip of Celestia’s horn, rendering her unable to use her magic due to the blockage until Tree Hugger calmed it down.
 
As for here, I don’t mind Twilight feeling offended by Discord’s joke while Celestia, having invited Discord to liven things up, giggles at it. Always nice to hear a good joke from a former arch-enemy who is now your friend.

Well, she wasn’t prepared for when that tidal wave of Smooze slime poured out from the treasure room. As a result, she got Worfed as the slime landed on the tip of her horn, blocking her from using her Alicorn magic again to stop the Smooze after Twilight’s attempts failed as well.
 
And after all, remember Lesson Zero? I’m sure Celestia would not mind a good laugh from Discord regarding Twilight’s past actions and going bonkers after all.

Agreed. And Celestia did mention how she treated Discord more like a friend now with inviting him to the Gala and everything. Guess she never expected something like this with Discord’s stand-up comedy hour and getting soaked with Smooze slime.

For shame Celestia, Twilight would never laugh at a joke at your expense. Rather, she’d judge the person who made it.
 
Feeling guilty yet? No? Not one bit? Okay.

At least she enjoyed one of Discord’s wisecracks. No wonder why, after the Smooze is stopped and Discord realizes he was consumed by the green monster of jealousy, she is still ecstatic at how the Gala was one of the best she’s been to, give or take the events of The Best Night Ever, where she attended in only her normal appearance, and not as fancy as she was here.
