The only princess to ever marry anyone in canon didn’t marry a prince. He’s a prince now, but Shining Armor was not a prince before he married Princess Cadance. And the two of them were specifically created to have a wedding and to sell toys. So it’s pretty clear that this just isn’t true for MLP.

You know that’s kind of bullshit specially considering its two secondary characters, and two secondary characters that are basically adult archetypes to the target demographic. The crazy uncle and the mother figure. Cartoons have shown adults re-marry or once having different love interests in the past than the ones currently being presented.
