It’s still all the mother’s fault. If she had a least a little more thought than “SKETTIES!!!”, she’d get her babies down first, that way she could get all the spaghetti.
Now, the smart way to have this set up is to use acid instead of water in the container. That way the mother can eat some spaghetti, watch as her babies drip into the acid and start getting dissolved until the spaghetti becomes the heavy side again. It’d be fun to watch her misery as she eats more and sends her foals into the acid again. It’d be even better if she figured out it was her fault.

Except for the fact that the whole scenario was (most likely) set up by a human. I’ll agree that this is more interesting than most fluffy abuse, but it’s not necessarily better.
