Infinitely slim chance as it may be, but that line of reasoning is how you end up with the conclusion that the universe is devoid of ANY life (including humans), since in an infinite universe with only a finite amount of humans, the chance of running into humans is infinitely slim, so it’s more likely you’re hallucinating them xp
 
In other words, I’m not buying the “infinitely slim” thing. It almost always fails to reflect reality.
 
Anyways, the universe really doesn’t need to be infinite. Take a look at Hubble Deep Field, then see how much of the sky it covers. The human mind cannot come close to comprehending the scope of our finite domain in the cosmos. It’s more accurate to think of it as infinite than vast and finite, since a mental image of infinity is far closer to its actual size than any finite size we can imagine.
 
I’d be shocked if somewhere out there there isn’t a quadropedal, hooved mammal-like sapient creature with those colors who’s passionate about her cello-like instrument, high class, but sometimes likes to be silly.
 
Granted, if it’s just the personality you’re after, I’m sure there’s plenty of humans like that.
