Original Comment:I always kinda wondered how someone as timid as Fluttershy could develop a skill such as the stare. This doesn’t solve the question of how she developed it in canon, but does solve how she was able to pull it off in front of the “camera” of the show.
“Okay, Fluttershy, we’re gonna have a flying insect come in and you’ll react to the situation by hulking up”
“But…doesn’t my friends come across as more important than a insec-”
“Pfft, as if. These kids at home have gotta learn things…like screwing your friends over and GTFO unless a bug you like is getting hurt…”
