I’m still going with the idea that John-117 has multi-dimensional Counterparts. That they’re there to kick alien ass and take names.
Honestly they’re just there to fill up the audience. Inonlymhave about two humanoid low-res figures in my library, and those soldiers were one of them. They’re actually the Imperial Gaurd from Warhammer 40k, so make of that what you will.
Ah. Then what’s with the MC look-alikes in the background? They seem to be fighting the audiance.
Either that they’re the security guard trying to keep order (unlikely), John’s multi-dimensional Counterparts or they’re regular UNSC marines.

Well, as Rarity and Sweetie were kidnapped to another dimension by Discord, there’s not much John can really do.
