It’s still feasible to do, and besides, doing things the hard way like that has actually led to several net positives in the medical field regarding their use of blood, recycling the patient’s own blood lost during surgeries, developing new practices that lose less blood in a given surgery, all of these things are good practices for doctors to have.

Its kinda hard to do organ transplants without using blood n’ stuff, though. I recall something about a guy needing one and they had to get extremely creative to be able to pull off the surgery and save his life.
