They only seem long nowadays because modern airings show them in modern-length TV blocks of multiple shorts. Back when these Loony Tunes shorts were originally airing, they didn’t put them in full half-hour blocks like we do with cartoons now. A lot of classic shorts were actually originally shown in movie theaters between films.
