Wait, that’s not Chinese. Hmm… what’s the closest Chinese equivalent?
In all likelihood, it’s not a restaurant in China in the first place. A lot of people seem to be jumping to that conclusion, which seems weird to me. Especially given the perfect English and complete lack of any Chinese text here:
A Chinese restaurant with English menus, meaning more than likely not from China. XD
A chinese restaurant doesn’t represent all of China, dude…
I feel like this is ironic.
This is assuming the copyright laws in East Asia coupled with the need to take legal action being next to bugger all won’t amount to anything.
Though, to be honest, nopony ever brings up whether or not those aforementioned businesses of the past three or four years were ever summoned. XD

Let the Dim Sum fanart resume!
I can only imagine the artist’s surprise. His/her recolored vector OC made years ago got appropriated by a Chinese restaurant which then caught the eye of Larson which resulted in a tweet that started a new enthusiastic bandwagon that may or may not have immediately hit a road bump. I don’t even.
Honestly, that’s rather big of her. I admit if I found some random restaurant put Surf Burst (my OC) on a menu, I’d be somewhat nettled. Kudos to her.
At the very least, the artist seems mostly cool about it for now.

No they aren’t. Krystal was stolen, Dim Sum doesn’t exist unless Agirl3003 will decide other way. End of the story.

Compromise: Krystal and Dim-Sum are twin sisters. Everyone wins.
I do like Dim Sum’s coloring though, I find it contrasts very well. So I hope people will continue to draw her but Krystal can get some art too, yeah? : )
