Hell, I’m someone who thought G1, Tales and G3 from 2003-2006 were awesome, but after 2006, it hot absolutely terrible and the entire franchise was dying. Without Faust, MLP would be dead now, and nobody would be mourning.
Pretty much, yes. G1 was just “okay”, and Tales (not G2, G2 had no cartoon, Tales was late G1) was meh. Everything after that (G3, G3.5, Newborn Cuties) were all really terrible, the exact kind of “girly goo-goo teaparties and dress-up” crap that Faust sought to put an end to.
Faust didn’t create MLP, but she was a major force behind making it popular with FIM.
No, Bonnie Zacherle invented MLP, and George Arthur Bloom invented MLP cartoons.
But the show was getting worse and worse from 2006 onwards and she saved it.
She also definitely invented Bronies.
Nobody’s saying she did. Stop trying to start drama.

If by “the internet” you mean “a small group of hardcore MLP fans plus little girls”, then yes, “the internet” liked MLP before FIM was released.
The internet liked MLP before she came around.
No, she RE-invented it. Complete with new designs, and more relateable characters.
And then the internet fandom took over.
