Hm, personally I prefer the good old cocoon transformation via external reagents… Something like just because it is so much sexier for me to see them floating in a translucent prison with changeling liquids slowly sipping into every pore of their bodies and flowing inside to speed up the transformation.
 
Also, I like the idea that this process breaks up and sips away any and all innate love as well as pony magic that was stored inside their bodies for other changelings to feast on… Well, that is before injecting more tranquilizers or hallucinogens so the prey wouldn’t struggle while been eroded away =P
