I respect your opinions. Now that I see it, I have chosen to agree that Pinkie and Rouge aren’t very common with each other, but I still like Rarity as Blaze and Twilight as Amy and Rainbow as Sally.
 
Moreover, I now prefer Sunset Shimmer as Rouge.
 
So, whatever you do, don’t trust any part of this image. Just go ahead and keep on downvoting it, ‘cause I’ll be happy to remove it off DeviantArt someday.

No, Rarity is Rouge, (all about her looks) Twilight is Sally, (competent but often very rude and condescending) and Pinkie Pie is Amy.
 
Not sure if Rainbow Dash is Blaze, as I haven’t gotten around to Sonic Rush.

Your comparison is all based on colours and-or partly traits, because it can also be like this.
 
Twilight Sparkle=Tails (smart and has similar personality. Twilight is nothing like Blaze other than princess/colours.)  
Applejack=Rouge (sassy, playfully teasing, snarky, etc.)  
Rarity=Knuckles (short temper, easily annoyed, etc.)
 
Pinkie Pie is nothing like Amy besides being pink.

Well, when I heard their voices (Cheese Sandwich and Knuckles), they sounded pretty close to me. But on the other hand, I had reasons why I did not want to use Pinkie as Amy, Rarity as Rouge, and Twilight as Sally or Blaze.
 
Unlike Pinkie, Amy is more interested in fashion and shopping rather than throwing parties; unlike Rarity, Rouge is more flirtatious and playful rather than being generous at all; at first, I thought Sally could suit Twilight, but I found her too tomboyish to even be a real princess, and she’s also more like a strong-minded fighter and leader.

The rules regarding this image told me that I cannot use boys as girls, or girls as boys. That is why I had to pick Sally as Rainbow Dash and Bunnie as Applejack. As for the other characters that you chose, those can still be acceptable by most fans.

Cheese Sandwich and Knuckles are nothing alike, not even in terms of voice.
 
Also, you really need to stick to what character would fit the character best instead of what character would fit the ship itself best. Just because there’s matching ships doesn’t mean that the character itself should be forced into the role of the other part of the ship, especially when the characters being compared are nothing alike.

I know most of you think that Pinkie doesn’t fit as Rouge, and Twilight doesn’t really fit for Amy and Rainbow Dash for Sally, but I actually forced myself to use these characters.
 
Sure, Pinkie could certainly be Amy because they’re both pink, and Rarity may certainly be Rouge since they’re white and their hobbies are jewelry, but the reason why I had to refuse to go with those was for one thing: shipping.
 
That’s right – their love interests made me force myself to use Twilight as Amy, Pinkie as Rouge, and Rainbow Dash as Sally.
 
As you know, both Soarin and Flash Sentry are like Sonic, and Soarin is most associated with Rainbow Dash, and Flash Sentry with Twilight Sparkle. Cheese Sandwich, whose has a voice similar to Knuckles, is most engaged with Pinkie Pie. That’s why I had to go for Twilight as Amy, Pinkie as Rouge, and Rainbow Dash as Sally, leaving Blaze to be Rarity.
 
Now do you understand what I mean?

That would definitely be Rarity .-. Pinkie Pie is more like Amy. Twilight more like Blaze, RD as Sonic, and Applejack is more like Knuckles. The only one that really fits is Fluttershy as Cream.
 
Is this supposed to be like one of those puzzles for little kids where everything is mismatched and you have to match it back up or something?

Some of these are a stretch, especially Sonic as Sally.
