This is why foals need to be with a proper parent figure. If not, the result may look cute, but this poor equine in the picture will be so attached to something, that it will not behave like a proper horse.

For instance, an orphaned Shetland pony who lived with dogs as a foal will behave like a dog, while an orphan pony who lived with a teddy bear will remain attached to the teddy bear even after growing up.
