/co/ liked the show but didn’t want to spread, because we knew it’d start shit, we also were barely tolerated on /co/, we self made a single thread rule (hence the general with a marker system) so people would leave us alone to our thread).
 
It’s /b/ who in february 2011 found out about us, gathered ALL the pictures and image macro we made, and started to spam their board with that shit, trying to be as obnoxious as possible. It’s them who went “everypony loved, everypony accepted” and it’s from THEM that “love and tolerance” come from, even though it was 100% IRONIC and a good chunk of them didn’t even watch the show, just saved the pictures. And despite the rest of the board spamming nazi and scat, they still went at it, and they took ONE of the name /co/ had made for fans, Bronies, because /b/ronies. (/co/ preffered /co/lts).
 
And now, pony pictures are banned on /b/, where the only other thing banned is child porn. Which is quite a feat.
 
So yeah, the brony fandom come from 4chan, but the bad side of it.

And what does this proove ? The existence of this thread doesnt disprove that people that are not part of the effin Chanss liked the show from the beginning,also including people that were MLP enthusiast before the brony phenomenon.You guys have an ego more inflated than Whoa Nelly.Channers were just more noisy in their parreciation of the show that’s all. In the end,i cant deny channers helped popularized the show but it’s outright arrogant to think they were the sole reason of the brony fandom
