Not one of my favourite episodes, but it had some good, cute, funny moments indeed, nice continuity from the last episode also, wasn’t expecting the intro, and it’s nice to see Rara and Dashie spending some quality time together <3
Some of the noir parts were also cool.

sigh Opinions, opinions…
There are episodes I just skip nowadays, or watch with big fast forwards, I so can not care about the writing.
This was NOT one of those episodes.
Rarity is last for me with Rainbow Dash being a close second, so I wasn’t expecting much either. Tabitha probably had a hell of a time recording this one, though.

Except this is technically a Rarity episode, so your point doesn’t stand.
Look, RD is last in my mane six fave chart, her episodes are almost always meh for me…
you kidding me? this episode was great! it did have the hwole clue finding thing a little rushed and the villain was a bit obvious, but ultimately the point of a mystery story is seeing how the clues come together. also i loved the lampshading of the noir tropes.
also that the wonder bolts have definitely taken Rainbow’s lessons to the heart.
Fairly average, I’d have to agree.
