Believe it or not, but they started it first. I was lurking around even back at the times of Ponybooru and watching them bitch about not liking fatal stuff and shout that anyone who likes it is a sick freak (yeah, PB was extreme XD). Now it is more restrained and subtle but the meaning and motifs are still there on almost every pic that falls under their hate. I kept seeing it over and over again, and most of the times it was exclusively one-sided with no one stepping in to tell them off or even just give their own point of view… Maybe that’s why the genre I’m into is so underrepresented…
 
In any case, if they (the knights crusading against fatal stuff) will keep bitching about making an extremely rare (to the point of extinction) genre even smaller, then I have all rights to go out and bitch about NOT making it smaller and telling these people what I think of their selfishness. Plus I do it only where it is appropriate: if an artist said they will never do digestion - I never ask them again, if the comic ending is still uncertain - I may (depending on conditions) ask for an alternative ending that would involve graphic digestion and if refused just leave.
 
Artists should be allowed to draw whatever they like, that’s why I never try to change their mind after they let their own reasons and further course of action be known. But this here… all these people moaning “Why did you have to do digestion? I don’t like it!” just annoys the shit out of me. Don’t like it - block it! If the artist is too nice to respond and make them realize that what they are doing is not nice, then I will do it myself. Does this explain my reasoning?

Gotta love people who can’t discern reality from fantasy and canon from fetish porn. Just because Twilight dies here, doesn’t mean she died everywhere. She’s imaginary, non-existent abstract concept of a character. She can’t die. I can kill her 10 times in a row within a single fanfic and yet in another fluff story about TwiDash she will be perfectly fine. Thinking that this drawing can affect in some way the actual canon is just silly.
 
Also, if you want to be all serious about it, just think about this as one of parallel timelines or universes. There is an infinite number of parralel universes out there and it is inevitable that in some of them Mane6 die in gruesome ways since all possible options theoretically happened and exist in the multiverse. Yes, IRL that includes all of us getting run down by a car and even having a meteorite fall on our heads.
 
Filters have a nice little feature where you can write (-reformation) and images with it will be allowed to get through… Though I’ve seen this type of people and doubt any of them will ever use filters and just move on like a normal person would.
 
P.S. No personal offense to anyone, but IMO knights in shining armor are the worst kind of people around. They are crusading against fatal and other grim stuff, claiming they are doing good for the fandom and everyone involved by restoring the proper image of MLP and so on… It’s kinda ironic because in reality they are just intolerant jerks who think they have the right and power to make others see things the way they see it themselves. This is the kind of people who will go into full “Stop liking what I don’t like!” mode while covering their lousy intentions by higher justice and all that crap. FFS, get over the fact that people are different and not everyone must like the same stuff you like!

Maybe because they are open for interpretation and don’t say “SOFT, NON FATAL VORE ONLY!” in their description?  
Also, I don’t go around and say “Oh you know, I appreciate vore but only fatal one, so could you not draw any more cuddly vore and draw some guts instead?”. No, I go and ask for alternative versions of the drawings or (very rare) separate pieces altogether, which doesn’t deprive others from what they like.
 
Plus I’ve seen projects and artists that got cancelled before delivering the final product due to not getting needed support and actually getting only hate in return. Telling an artist that you are not interested in seeing the rest of the series right in the beginning of the said series (and there was more than one person who did this) is kinda the same thing. These guys could have just remained quiet and let their filters hide the rest of the series from them (seeing as it was stated from the first page what this will turn into) but instead they chose to come and state their displeasure with what the artist chose to draw.

Criticism and commenting against the very theme and idea of the picture are two different things. One points out incorrect or weird wing structure while the second is akin to tugging of a blanket to one side just to show that one theme is more appreciated than the other. In any case, I can see your point and maybe you really had no intention of doing what I pointed out. If that’s the case, I apologize.
 
However, this is the Internet. I have no way of knowing your intentions or even interpret your message in the way you probably intended due to lack of audio and visual cues. So I do the only logical thing and treat not hypothetical motives or intentions you might have had to post something, but rather the results and effects the said post and what your motifs might have been to use the said effects to your own advantage. Works most of the time since people always seek to gain something for themselves.
